Ariana Grande Announces ‘Yes, And?’ Remix Featuring ‘Lifelong Inspiration’ Mariah Carey: ‘Dream Come True’

Get ready for another Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey collaboration.

In a post on the social network Wednesday, Grande announced a remix of her latest single “Yes, And?” with Carey, which is set to be announced on Friday, and she called the team “a dream come true.”

“I can’t believe the words I’m writing,” he wrote Wicked star, 30, alongside the cover of the remix, which features her and Carey, 54, posing side-by-side in all-black while looking directly into the camera.

Grande continued, “Yeah and? Remix with the one and only, queen of my heart and life’s inspiration @mariahcarey out this Friday !!!!!!!!!!!”

The “Thank U, Next” singer expressed her excitement about joining forces with Songbird Supreme. “There really are no words that are enough,” she wrote. “thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this dream come true and for showering my little song with your brilliance and magic @mariahcarey.”

“This means more to me than I could ever articulate and I can’t wait for everyone to hear this,” Grande’s post concluded. “I love you forever!!!!!!!”

Both artists teased the collaboration on Wednesday by updating their Instagram profile pictures with similar images of their eyes, which Grande shared on her Instagram Story before the official reveal.

The pair previously teamed up in 2020 for a remix of Carey’s 2010 song “Oh Santa” with Jennifer Hudson on the Apple TV+ soundtrack Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special.

All three singers performed the remix in a 2020 special, before reuniting in December 2023 to make its live debut on one of Carey’s Merry Christmas One and All! concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The original version of “Yes, and?” was released last month as the lead single from Grande’s upcoming album Eternal sunshineout March 8. The song, which debuted at number one on Board Hot 100, finds the star shrugging off haters and embracing self-confidence over a smooth disco- and house-inspired beat.

Grande recently told fans she won’t be releasing any more singles before the full album, though she assured listeners there will be “a little surprise or two” — and Carey’s remix of “Yes, And?” seems to be one of them.

“I wanted to say… as hard as it is to resist the urge to share another song or single with you as soon as possible, I’d really like you to experience the album in its entirety this time,” Sweetener the musician shared on Instagram earlier this month.

Grande wrote: “…waiting a little longer to be able to listen to the end first is my ideal way for you all to experience this work.”

“thank you for trusting my vision and plan!” she continued. “You’ve been waiting so long for new music from me and I’m so grateful for your patience! I look forward to enjoying each new era with all of you, and I honestly can’t wait for it to be yours!”
