“Officers are currently present at a residential address at a location that speaks to a man inside the property.”

The force added: “Due to the current incident on Lewisham High Street towards Lee High Road, traffic will be diverted and may be harder than usual.

“Please plan your trip accordingly.”

A ambulance spokesman said: “Today we are invited at 10.48 in the morning (February 10) at the incident reports on Lewisham High Street, Se13.

“We sent an official for an incident and members of our tactical response unit and a team to answer the dangerous area to the scene.
