Ashley Park and Paul Forman: All About the Emily in Paris Costars’ Relationship

Ashley Park and Paul Forman have taken their on-screen romance to real life.

A few weeks later, she made their relationship official on Instagram when she posted a photo of the two kissing and praised him for always being there for her.

Forman and Park became close when he was cast in the third season of Netflix Emily in Paris. He plays Nicolas de Leon, who becomes the love interest of Park’s Mindy Chen. Before going public with their relationship, the two often posted together on Instagram, sharing behind-the-scenes pictures of the show.

In December 2022, Forman shared a carousel on Instagram in which he poses with actors such as Lily Collins, Samuel Arnold and Bruno Gouery, as well as Park.

They sparked romance rumors after holding hands at dinner

In October 2023, Park and Forman hinted at a relationship when they held hands Hollywood Reporter’Dinner of beauty. The two arrived at the event together holding hands and remained close throughout the night.

Park – who was there to support her hairstylist Clayton Hawkins and makeup artist Jenna Nicole – introduced him to her friends and other guests. However, their representatives did not comment on the relationship at the time.

A few months later, in January 2024, Park opened up about the serious medical emergency she experienced when a severe case of tonsillitis turned into critical septic shock that affected several of her organs.

The couple were traveling overseas when she had to be hospitalized, and she credited Forman in a sweet Instagram post for helping her get through the tough times.

“You calmed my fears and got me through an ambulance, three different hospitals, a week in the ICU, terrifying ERs, countless scans, tests and injections, excruciating pain and so much confusion, all while we were alone on the other side of the world. far from those we know,” she wrote. “I love you Paul. More than I can say.”

Forman left a comment on her post, simply writing, “My love ❤️.”

A few weeks later, Park made it clear the two were dating when she posted a photo with Forman of the two kissing and a memory from the previous year of him pushing her in a wheelchair when she sprained her ankle at a fashion show.

After announcing her medical scare, Forman also posted his support on Instagram with a photo of the two posing together, one of them holding her hand in a hospital bed.

“By your side, no matter what ❤️ @ashleyparkklady,” he wrote in the caption.

Forman also supported Park in other ways, s The joy of driving actress who told PEOPLE in her July 2023 digital cover story that her boyfriend — whose identity she did not confirm at the time — was “so supportive” of her success.

“I’ve just never been with someone who was so supportive,” she said. “And not supportive like, ‘Oh, that’s so cool for you,’ but who honestly feels happy when I feel that.”

She added that understanding how to prioritize helped her feel more confident in the strength of her relationship.

“I’ve always been that person who wanted to give my whole self to other people and that’s what made me feel fulfilled,” she said. “I don’t want to be that person who is this now and can’t be there for other people. But then I realize that the people I care about, whether it’s my boyfriend or my friends, will never punish me for not giving them my whole self. They want to protect me as much as I want to protect them.”

Park and Forman remained close to theirs Emily in Paris costars, who are preparing for the fourth season of the series.

Park kept her health crisis under wraps for a while before opening up on Instagram, surprising many of her close friends who left sweet comments wishing her a speedy recovery.

One of the commentators was Collins, who plays Park’s best friend and the main character.

“I can hardly look at this without crying,” she wrote. “I love you sister and I am forever grateful for being on the other side of this and for @peformana for your incredibly big heart and being there every step of the way. I can’t wait to hug you both ❤️.”

In January 2023, Forman also gave a glimpse of the tight-knit group with a behind-the-scenes video of Season 3 filming in Paris, showing them bantering on the streets of the city and attending parties together.

“So much love to my @emilyinparis fam 💕#bts,” he wrote in the caption.

They had their “first public date” at a fashion show
