Lily Gladstone has her outfit all planned out for the 2024 Oscars.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the 26th Costume Designers Guild Awards on Wednesday, the 37-year-old actress said she thinks her outfit will “definitely” be a “showstopper.”

“Definitely museum-worthy, I’d say,” Gladstone told PEOPLE at the event, which was held at NeueHouse Hollywood in Los Angeles.

Gladstone, who is of Siksikaitsitapi and Niimiipuu descent, is making history at this year’s Oscars after becoming the first Native American actress to be nominated for an Oscar. She is in the running for Best Actress for her performance as Mollie Burkhart in Killers of the flower moon.

“It’s just going to be ongoing proof that Indigenous design belongs on red carpets with luxury fashion in a very central way. I’m excited,” Gladstone, who is the fourth Indigenous actress to receive a Best Actress nomination, continues of her upcoming red carpet looks.

For Wednesday’s event, Gladstone added a pop of color to the events, wearing a red sequined Valentino outfit featuring a jacket with ruffled sleeves and a ribbon and matching flared trousers.

“Valentino tailored it for me. It was one of several options we had throughout the season, and it felt like tonight, as I’m here among the costume designers, it’s time to reveal something that’s really stunning structurally, texturally, that’s a big, bold statement,” Billions star tells PEOPLE.

“And the color red, which I’m wearing in the campaign for this film, is specifically the color of visibility for Missing, Murdered Indigenous Relatives, which is sort of the heart of the onion that my character has,” she adds.

“Even though that story was 100 years ago, it wasn’t a new story then, and it’s not a new story now. It’s an ongoing epidemic. So wearing red increases our visibility. It’s done in solidarity with the missing, Murdered Indigenous Relatives, and they were made with love by Valentino, who has been with me since the very beginning,” the actress continues about her appearance.

The film, which is now available to watch on Apple TV+, was directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons.
