Ashok Pathak was born on Thursday, January 3, 1985, in Saran village, Faridabad, Haryana (age 38; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Capricorn. He did his graduation from CRM Jat College, Hisar. During his graduation, he joined the Academy Theater Company and won the Best Actor Award four times. After graduation, he pursued his MA in Literature from Kurukshetra University, Haryana. He then applied to Bharatendu Natya College in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and got selected. He was the top student in his class and received a scholarship. After two years of training there, he interned for one year at Bharatendu Natya College.

He started selling cotton on his bicycle with one of his uncles. Even in the hot summer, he would ride 25 kilometers to sell cotton. - In an interview, he said that as a child, he was often bullied for being a Bihar immigrant.
- While studying in school and college, he was never interested in learning. While at school, he made friends who were older than him, and in their company he developed the habit of eating, smoking, and even drinking. He once said that he was a movie fan in school and college and often skipped classes to watch movies in the cinema.
- After graduation, he got to know the National School of Drama, New Delhi. Even though he applied for NSD twice, he was rejected both times. He once said he was devastated after being rejected there.

- In an interview, he revealed that when he first started his career in Bollywood, he was offered only small roles. When a casting agent approached him to audition for the role of Vinod in the Hindi web series “Panchayat,” he was initially hesitant and kept postponing the audition. He feels that Vinod’s role is just a small role and will not contribute much to his career. Eventually, however, he agreed to give it a try. Although he only had a small role, his performance in the drama won him huge popularity.
