Ashwath Sezhian is a British-Indian doctor, Instagram storyteller, and author. He has written two books, The Torment of an Orchid (2019) and When Varun Met Meera (2021), and has published over a hundred short stories on Instagram to over 40,000 readers.

Family, Caste and Girlfriend
He is the eldest of two children and his father is Natrajan Sezhian, an organ transplant surgeon. He is engaged to his classmate and friend Dr. Sanjana Parthiban. He met Sanjana in 2014 when they were in their first year of medical school and credits her with getting him started writing. Ashwath wrote on Instagram:

Profession
In 2018, while pursuing his third year of MBBS, he started writing captions for Instagram. Over time, his talent for writing short stories on the platform emerged. Most of his ten-page stories touched the readers’ emotions, while some left them stunned. In 2019, he published his first novel in Papertowns India. Orchid’s Torment is a psychotic thriller. In 2020, he graduated from college and moved to the UK for further studies. Two years later, his second novel, When Varun Met Meera, a college love story, came out in 2021.
