Former India batsman Mohammad Kaif named Rinku as Examples of criticism of PBKS’s decision include Singh and Rahul Tewatia. He said in the interview,
Inviting him out was an extremely bad decision. Why talk about Rinku Singh and Tewatia? Rinku Singh started off with a run and Tewatia bowled 13 off 21 balls. They hit five sixes after that. Ted scored with a strike rate of 130 and played alongside Liam Livingstone. Livingstone played fast and Ted played his part. He was an uncatcher and hit four and a six. He’s got his eyes in it and you ask him to come out when he’s playing number six. Very bad decision because the guys after that – Jitesh Sharma, Shahrukh Khan and Sam Curran – they all came in and quit. If the decision is a good one, I will praise them. If you look up the statistics, whenever a situation like this arises and a new batsman is called out, how many times does the new batsman win the game? Show me the data and I’ll give in. “
