Austin Butler shares what it was like rocking the “no brow look” on set Dina: The second part.
The actor, 32, who plays the nefarious Feyd-Rauth Harkonnen in the upcoming film, appeared in an episode on Thursday Jimmy Kimmel Live! to discuss the highly anticipated sequel alongside co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Florence Pugh,
“Austin, did you miss your eyebrows making this movie?” asked Kimmel, 56, referring to Butler’s character’s appearance.
“It was so liberating to not have eyebrows,” Butler replied. “You don’t realize how much they weigh on you,” he added with a laugh. “I was just tidying up.”
“Did you shave your eyebrows?” Kimmel then asked the star.

“I went to work right after that with this director named Jeff Nichols,” Butler explained. “And Jeff said, ‘They can afford to make you a bald cap, but we can’t make you hair. So can you just get a bald cap?’ That’s what I did.”
“So the bald cap fell right here to your eyes?” Kimmel asked.
“We had the most amazing hair and makeup team and they were rockin’,” Butler replied.
How many hours did it take to Elvis star to go bald so he could keep his eyebrows for his next film, Butler revealed, “It was three hours a day and then they took it down,” adding that it was “about five hours.”

“Woof! I would just glue a couple of eyebrows on,” Kimmel joked. “One big eyebrow in the style of Eugene Levy, like Bird from sesame street.”
“So what you’re trying to say is that you made sacrifices for this movie and it would be nice if people went and saw it,” Kimmel continued, to which Butler replied, “Exactly.”
Meanwhile, during an appearance on Josh Horowitz’s latest episode Happy Sad Confused podcast on Thursday, Butler revealed that he drew inspiration from “animals, like a snake and a shark” while working on his performance for the film. He also teased that his character, who is a member of the family that killed Paul’s father in the first installment, is “ugly and badass” at a screening and panel for his new Apple TV+ miniseries Lords of the air last month.

Dina: The second part pick up where first Dune the film was discontinued and is based roughly on the second half of Frank Herbert’s science fiction novel of the same name.
According to the film’s official synopsis, the film, which also stars Rebecca Ferguson and Josh Brolin, “will explore the mythical journey of Paul Atreides [Chalamet] as he unites with Chani [Zendaya] and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Faced with a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he strives to prevent a terrible future that only he can foresee.”
Dina: The second part is in theaters March 1, 2024.
