Pastor, 2 Sons Die ‘Holding Onto’ Each Other After He Saves Wife, Other Kids in House Fire

Six children are mourning the deaths of their father — a pastor — and two of their siblings after a horrific house fire in Ohio this week.

According to a news release from the Ohio Department of Commerce, firefighters were called to a residence fire in Orient, Ohio around 12:22 a.m. Tuesday. The statement confirmed that there were “three confirmed deaths of men aged 55, 17 and 10”.

Pastor Mark Robinette was able to pull six of his eight children out of a window and save his wife Andrea, his cousin Haley McGuire wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.

After realizing that two of his sons, Gideon, 17, and Liam, 10, had not left the house, he went back inside and the three were unable to get out, McGuire wrote, adding that he was “found holding them both.”

“I just came here to be with the family. They’ve lost everything. There’s a lot of needs. They don’t even have shoes… They’re going to need help, but they need our prayers and anything he can do for them,” said Mike Comer, another of Robinette’s relatives. , to WLBT in a story published Wednesday.
