The star is currently pregnant with her fourth child with husband Steph Curry
Ayesha Curry opens up about being labeled a “pregnancy of old age.”
In the title story, Fr Sweet July magazine, the star (34) announced that she is pregnant, expecting her fourth child with NBA star husband Steph Curry. During the interview, Ayesha spoke about how she was told she had an “elderly pregnancy” when she went to one of her doctor’s appointments.
“What was interesting was my doctor’s appointments,” Ayesha said. “I’m in my 30s, and there’s all this paperwork that goes into that experience as ‘old pregnancy’ and all the worries that come with that.”
“I think there’s something that needs to be more nuanced when it comes to women, their age, and conversations about having children. A lot of women in their 30s and 40s are going through this for the first time, and when they’re told you’re ‘ old’ seems alarming and wild. I think the narrative needs to shift a bit.”

Ayesha Curry is pregnant, expecting child no. 4 with husband Steph Curry: ‘Someone was missing’
Ayesha, who is already mom to daughters Riley and Ryan, as well as son Canon with Steph, also mentioned that this pregnancy will be her last.
“But one of the biggest differences [of this pregnancy] is a new understanding that this really does pass in the blink of an eye,” she said. “And in the blink of an eye, it could all be taken away, too. It encouraged me to slow down and take every little thing into account – especially considering this is my last pregnancy.”
She also admitted that in this pregnancy, the mother of three children was more focused on friends and family than in the previous one.

I was very stubborn during my previous pregnancies, she recalled. “And that ended up hurting me. It really made things difficult for me. I had to learn to put my pride aside and realize that it’s okay to accept help, to have help from people around me and not run away from it.”
“And I’m still trying to figure out what my village building looks like. Feels like it’s never finished, doesn’t it?” Ayesha continued. “There are always people who come, people who go and people who are here forever. And that’s okay.”
The star also told how she became more aware that in addition to her family village, it is important to have a village with her girlfriend.
“I don’t necessarily know if I’ve ever been a girl in that sense, but now as I get older, I realize it’s really nice to have that group chat of friends,” Ayesha added.
