“Every day is a new day and I learn a lot more. It was so cool, I saw a whole new side that I think of myself,” added the Canadian TV personality.

“I have to say my wife Emely has been amazing. I didn’t think I could love my wife more than I do, and having this child has changed everything, it’s gone to a whole new level.”

When Hudson then showed the family photo, Palmer replied, “This is my world right here, it’s amazing. It’s a blessing.”

Hudson also asked about little Ella being a big baby, to which Palmer replied, “She was close to 9 pounds, which is not uncommon in my family. I was almost 12 pounds, which is big.”

“The crazy part is I have a great uncle who was 17 pounds. It was the biggest baby in Canadian history. So I warned my wife Emely early on. We just have big babies,” he added.

“Ella, she’s tall, she’s beautiful and she’s changing every day, she’s filling out a little bit,” Palmer continued of the newborn.

In August, Palmer and Fardo exclusively revealed to PEOPLE that they were expecting their first child together.

“I have two brothers and four nephews, so we finally have a female addition to the Palmer family!” Palmer told PEOPLE at the time. “Emely has always wanted a daughter and is so motherly by nature, I always knew she would be the best mom.”

“I’m so excited to share life with our daughter, take her on fun adventures and share with her the lessons life has taught us,” said Fardo.

“I know our daughter will walk all over me – she already has me around her finger!” Palmer added, admitting: “I’m a little nervous because I never grew up with girls in the house.”

Palmer and Fardo began dating in 2017 before getting engaged in Paris in July 2019. They quietly tied the knot in Connecticut in June 2020 after canceling their planned wedding in Provence, France due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
