Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 Starts Off with a Love Triangle and a Lot of Early Makeouts

Bachelor in Paradise season 9 decided to honor the late Irene Cara by opening with a montage of millennials preparing for Mexico.

Ex-girlfriend Rachel Recchia arrived first, telling host Jesse Palmer that “maybe the third time’s the charm” when it comes to finding love on TV.

“I’m definitely excited for a fresh start,” Rachel, 27, said in an on-camera interview.

Aaron Bryant of Charity Lawson’s Bachelor season appeared next, followed by Brooklyn Willie and Catherine “Cat” Wong from Zach Shallcross’ season bachelor, Sean McLaughlin, also from Charity’s season, and Will Urena from Michelle Young’s season.

Then Kylee Russell from Zach’s season walked in and told Jesse, 44, that she hoped to meet Aven Jones, 29, from Rachel and Gabby Windey’s season because of some interactions they had on social media, as he commented on a fire emoji on one from her selfies.

“If he had gotten down on one knee, I would have been ready to say yes,” Kylee, 25, said.

Jesse thought Kylee might be getting ahead of himself. “Social media is the only interaction you’ve had with this man?” he asked. Kylie confirmed that yes, they only communicated online.

To the disappointment of Aaron, 30, and Sean, the rose recipient Charity’s first impression Brayden Bowers came next.

“The vibrations just went down,” Sean, 26, told Aaron when Brayden, 25, arrived.

The singles lined up, with Eliza Isichei and Samantha “Sam” Jeffries from Clayton Echard’s season, Olivia Lewis from Zach’s season, and Aaron Schwartzman and Peter Cappio from Charity’s season going to the beach.

Sean told Aaron B. that he wanted Jessica “Jess” Girod from Zach’s season to join him Paradise for “I want to be covered with bodily radiance.” The gods of heaven passed and Jess, 24, made an appearance, as did Greer Blitzer and Mercedes Northup from Zach’s season, plus Blake Moynes.

“The third time, I should have gotten used to this by now,” Blake, 32, said of appearing on Clare Crawley, Tayshie Adams and Katie Thurston’s seasons. Bachelor.

Blake impressed the ladies Paradise immediately. “Blake Moynes is a nice ass,” Mercedes, 25, said.

PARADISE BEGINS

When everyone arrived, Jesse informed the group that the men had roses during the first week and that the four women would be going home. The men and women then split up to discuss who they wanted to meet, with Olivia, 24, revealing she had already kissed Will, 30, earlier when they discussed sucking toes.

So Olivia was annoyed when Kylee, in Aven’s absence, decided to ask Will out – and he accepted.

“Don’t tease me and then go say yes to a date,” Olivia complained in the interview.

The meeting didn’t start well – Will slipped and fell into the pool where he and Kylee were supposed to have dinner.

Back at the beach, Brayden connected with Kat, 27. He introduced her by asking her about her favorite color. “Don’t judge me, but it’s beige,” Kat told Brayden, explaining that it’s “just, like, so calming.”

Sean and Rachel kissed after talking on the lounger, as did Jess and Blake. And Kylee quickly fell in love with Will.

“He’s everything and more than I could ask for in a guy,” Kylee said in an interview.

Will felt the same way, telling her, “I haven’t felt like this at all, and it feels good.”

He added on camera, “I’m definitely falling in love with Kylee a little faster than I expected.”

Will and Kylee kissed and ended the date watching the fire dancers.

Still sulking about Will’s date, Olivia told bartender Wells Adams, “At the end of the day, she tasted me, I don’t have to taste her.”

The next morning, Will decided to talk to Olivia about where she stood.

“I feel like there’s no respect right now,” she told Will. “I feel like you’re cleaning up the disrespect that you kind of put out there. I think there was a lot of disrespect because there was no consideration.”

Will apologized, but he didn’t think he really needed to this early in the process.

“It’s the first day and you’re here to explore your options,” Will said. “I’m here to explore my options. And I also don’t mean just because I kissed you, that I owe you an explanation on the first day. If it had been a little further, deeper in the process, and we had a stronger connection, I could see why I owe you an explanation.”

Will concluded by saying that he wanted to continue his relationship with Kylee.

“A lot of my conversation with Kylee was about real-life stuff, and because of that, I feel like my heart goes out a little bit more toward Kylee,” he told Olivia.

“Then don’t grab my face and kiss me, Will!” Olivia reacted.

To make matters even more complicated, Kylee’s original #1 Aven showed up with a business card, but Bachelor The nation will have to wait until next week to see what kind of chaos this has caused.
