The TV personality didn’t go into detail about what they were, but warned fans to listen to their bodies and seek medical attention when something isn’t right.

She also admitted that her lack of self-care took its toll, leading to health problems.

Nadiya, who won the then BBC show in 2015, said: “I can’t stress enough the importance of looking after yourself.

“I’m the type of person who burns the candle at both ends, taking care of other people’s needs besides my own.

“I don’t take time for myself. I don’t really know what that means or what it feels like. Not really.

“And when I do take time for myself, I feel incredibly guilty.

“And usually when I do things outside the house or away from my family, it’s always because I’m doing something else, but it has nothing to do with my relaxation or my well-being.

“It’s always just about other things, running errands, helping, whatever I can do.

“And it could be outside the house and then I feel really guilty about it.

“So, yeah, the time I spend alone, time for myself, keeping my mind and body healthy is very, very minimal. And that’s really bad.

I don’t like running the country but I think I could do a better job – I’d like to punch Boris Johnson in the face, says Nadiya Hussain

“And that’s something that I’ve really been thinking about this year, especially because I’ve turned 40 and I’m kind of, I’m very aware that when you turn 40, you have to have that medical check-up with the doctor and they check everything out.

“But recently, for most of this year, but for two years, I’ve been pretty sick. I’ve just gotten pretty sick.

“During these two years, I was diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases, which I will not go into now.

“I’ll go into the future when I know more about it and when I get a better handle on it and when I understand it a little better.

“But until then, it’s like I can’t express, like I can’t express the importance of listening to your body, taking care of yourself.

“And like I said, ‘I’m the worst at it. I’m not good at it at all. I’ll only ever take care of myself when my body is off.’

“And that’s not good for you. We have to take more care of ourselves.

“We need to devote more time to self-care and well-being, both mental and physical.

“So, yeah, I just wanted to come here. And it’s like this has been a really tough year because of all the tests and trying to work things out and thinking about things.

“But I feel like it’s really important to come out the other side and be really grateful and feel blessed because even though, you know, it would be great if I wasn’t sick, I’m here.

“And that’s what’s really important is that I’m here and I have to do everything I can to make a positive impact on myself mentally and physically. And that’s all I can really do.

“But I just think it’s really important that I take away from all of this, I always have, listening to my body.

“And I really want to come here and share that with you, because I don’t think we say that enough to each other.

“And I certainly don’t. I don’t think moms say that to each other. I think female moms just aren’t good at it. And I know the moms I know aren’t very good at it either.

“So take care of yourself. Listen to your body. Listen to your instincts and push. If something doesn’t feel right, push. Make sure you get to the bottom of it.

“And I don’t think I would have made it to the bottom if I hadn’t pushed and pushed because I felt something was wrong.

“So push and push and follow your instincts and know that what you’re feeling isn’t in your head. And you’re probably right.

The baker posted a picture of the empty cup back in February.

After drinking the tea, the inside of the cup remained stained at the bottom, but it appeared to be in the shape of a broken heart.

Nadiya wrote alongside the photo: “Sometimes. Some things have to end. To find love.

“It could be all the love you’ve ever needed,” she concluded, adding the hashtags “#end” and “#beginning.”

However, Nadiya did not reveal more details or context, leaving fans worried about the emotional announcement.

They flooded her post with messages and good wishes.

“This is so mysterious! We hope you are well,” one fan said.

“I hope you’re ok Nadiya,” another worried fan commented.

A third fan pointed out that the heartbreak could mean she split from her husband Abdul.

“Sending love Nadiya. Endings are always hard,” added a fourth fan.

Other fans saw the beauty in Nadiya’s post and said that maybe it’s not that deep.

“I really think she’s just saying she’s had tea and found her heart,” said one of Nadia’s fans.

“Wow, I love this! If you hadn’t drunk that cup, you wouldn’t have found a heart…a beautiful comparison to life,” another agreed.
