Barbra Fuller, star of radio soap operas One man’s family, died. She was 102 years old.
In a statement shared on Facebook, her godson JP Sloane announced that Fuller died on Wednesday, May 15.
“Today my godmother, Barbra Fuller, passed away,” he began. “She starred in the first radio soap opera ‘One Man’s Family’ as Claudia for 14 years. She also acted in films and television.”
“‘Aunt’ Barbra had a full life and would have turned 103 on July 29th of this year. I was truly blessed to have had her for so long,” Sloane added, “She will always be loved and truly missed.”

Born in 1925 in Nahant, Massachusetts, Fuller began her Hollywood career when she was cast in an NBC radio drama called One man’s familyplaying Claudia from 1945 to 1959. In the midst of her radio work, Fuller signed a contract with Republic Pictures in 1949 in which she starred in 13 films, including an anti-communist noir titled, Red menace.
Some more pictures of her are included Flame of youth, Alias the Champ, The Savage Horde, Lonely heart and more. Fuller appeared in an episode of Adventures of Superman, where she played a woman working for “Public Enemy No. 1,” a villain who wants to wage war against the city.

From 1955 to 1956, she was cast in the CBS anthology series, A four-star game room with Charles Boyer. She also appeared in episodes Ford Television Theatre, State policeman, A millionaire, My three sons, US Marshal, Perry Mason, Girl and Daniel Boone.

In February 1951, she married Western star Lash LaRue, but they later separated in November of the same year and divorced in June 1952.
