In the midst of Jennifer Lopez’s divorce from Ben Affleck, Lopez has remained close to Affleck’s children but has not been in contact with hers, according to a source.
A source tells PEOPLE that it is Fraudsters The 55-year-old actress has often said that he is a good father Good Will Hunting the actor, 52, is to his children, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, who he shares with ex Jennifer Garner.
“[Jennifer] he went there and told the world what a great father he was,” they say.
Lopez herself is mom to 16-year-old twins Max and Emma, whom she shares with ex Marc Anthony.

The “Jenny from the Block” singer is “still close with Garner and all five kids,” a source says. The Gone Girl meanwhile, the actor is “close to his three children”, but “has not been in contact with her children”.
“The fact that he hasn’t seen her kids in a long time, it’s like he’s gone, but she’s especially close to his kids,” the source continues, citing Lopez attending Samuel’s graduation ceremony in June and Violet spending a week with the singer during her Hamptons vacation in July.

“But she’s also close to Marco’s children from [his] previous relationship,” adds the source about the four children the “Vivir Mi Vida” singer (55) had before his relationship with Lopez.
Adds the source: “She is in contact with the children and is a good mother.”
A source close to the couple told PEOPLE earlier in August that Affleck’s on-again, off-again romance and marriage to Lopez — the couple are set to tie the knot in 2022 — has helped him “become a family man again.”
“Family is very important to both of them, and they were family people together – and the relationship doesn’t end,” the source continued.

Following the couple’s split — Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20, her and Affleck’s second wedding anniversary — another source also told PEOPLE that their children are their main concern.
“The children are the top priority, as they always have been,” the source said.
Talking to Good morning America in December 2021, Affleck opened up about his role as a father and how his children’s opinions are the only ones that matter to him.
“I’ll be dead a long time ago and someone will ask my children, ‘What was your dad like?’ and then I will know what my life was worth,” he said.
