Schools in Bengaluru are closed today, 11 September 2023

Schools in Bengaluru likely to be closed today: Karnataka State Federation of State Private Transport Associations has announced a holiday today, 11 September 2023. According to the latest reports, in view of the holiday, some of the private schools in Bangalore have declared a holiday today, while some will conduct classes online. However, it must be noted that no government order has been issued to close schools and parents and students have been advised to contact the school administration for the latest information on Bengaluru Bandh.

Given the difficulties with commuting, several colleges and schools have declared today a holiday and distributed internal notices to parents. However, it should be noted that not all schools are closed because there is no order from the city administration.

According to reports, officials have been instructed to ensure the safety and comfort of the public and school children, while the directives also mentioned arrangements for additional buses near hospitals to ensure that patients do not face hardship.

Bandh for disruption of daily life

According to reports, there are a total of 32 private transport associations and most are expected to be out of business today. According to transport federation president S Nataraj, around 7 to 10 lakh vehicles including cars, tacos, airport taxis, cabs, goods vehicles, school vehicles, carriages, contract carriages and business buses will not operate today.

The Bangalore Bandh was called in opposition to the Shakti Plan unveiled by the Karnataka government in June 2023. According to local reports, the Bandh began at midnight and will continue till midnight on September 11, 2023.
