Bethenny Frankel Had Multiple Wardrobe Malfunctions at It Ends with Us Premiere: 'Frickin' Disaster'

Bethenny Frankel’s glamorous night out didn’t quite go as planned.

53-year-old The Real Housewives of New York alum attended the premiere of the film It ends with us on Tuesday, August 6 and unfortunately, suffered a series of wardrobe malfunctions during the evening.

While Frankel looked perfect on the red carpet in a pink corset dress, the entrepreneur shared behind-the-scenes of her outfit “disasters” in an Instagram post on Wednesday, August 7.

“The strap on my dress came off. I was in the rain. My beautiful shoes were soaked,” the reality star says while holding the detached strap in a video included with the post. “The wheels are off. I can’t get out. That’s why nobody’s taking me anywhere. It’s a fucking disaster.”

In addition to her glamorous moment on the red carpet, Frankel’s post also features shots of her caught in the rain in New York, covering her head with a pink scarf.

In the caption, the Skinny Girl founder calls the evening “perfectly reckless.”

“Well, only @blakelively could pull me out of my pajamas while eating chicken salad and only I can manage to turn a glamorous evening into a train wreck before the event even starts,” she wrote. “The good news is that the journey is always as fun as the destination, as long as margaritas, laughter, wardrobe malfunctions and monsoons are involved. I guess it “ends with us”, but it starts with me making an ass out of myself…”

She continued: “PS Blake looked gorgeous and I walked past Anna Wintour at the popcorn stand and let out an audible sigh…she told me the Met Gala invite was in the mail and we agreed to go shopping at TJ Maxx together. Perfectly relaxed.🍿 ☔️🍹”

Ahead of her moment on the red carpet, Frankel previewed her ensemble via TikTok.

“This dress is Dolce & Gabanna,” she says in the video. “I’ve had him for five years and he’s been waiting for his moment and I thought he was giving Blake Lively.”

Frankel also shared that her shoes, which have large pink floral details on the heels, are Giuseppe Zanotti. She finished off the look with an Audemars Piguet watch and some glittery “bling”.

It ends with uswhich hits theaters on Friday, August 9, is based on the 2016 bestseller of the same name by author Colleen Hoover. Blake Lively plays florist Lily Bloom, and during the press tour, the actress leaned into themed dressing with a floral-inspired wardrobe.

At the Aug. 6 premiere, Lively appeared in a vintage Versace dress worn by Britney Spears in 2002.

“It’s Britney’s real dress,” Lively told PEOPLE exclusively. “It should be in the Smithsonian or the Met. But I’m paying. I feel so lucky!”
