Bhavya’s father Kuldeep Bishnoi has served two terms as Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and been elected to the Legislative Assembly (MLA) four times. His mother, Renuka Bishnoi, served twice as an MP. Bhavya also has a younger brother, Chaitanya Bishnoi, who actively plays professional cricket in the Ranji Trophy in Haryana and is a part of the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Currently, Bhavya Bishnoi is the youngest legislator representing Adampur in the 90-member Haryana Assembly. Prior to taking up this role, he contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Hisar, Haryana, as a candidate of the Indian National Congress, although his effort failed. He said in an interview,
I always wanted to represent India in international cricket and I even represented Delhi in under-15 matches. I didn’t feel any pressure to get involved in politics. I have taken a personal decision to run for office and I plan to make Hisar the capital of Haryana. “
