Billie Eilish has opened up about her sex life – not long after saying she would never have one again.
In her latest Vanity Fair interview (Eilish has done one with the publication every year since 2017, when she was 15), the singer, now 23, revealed she fulfilled her younger self’s wish to have “good sex.”
During one segment, the “Birds of a Feather” singer looks back on her previously unreleased interview from 2023, in which she listed some of the things she wants to accomplish, including “making new friends” and “having good sex.”

Responding to her younger self, the star explained that she’s ticked off much of her bucket list – including “good sex”, as indicated by her thumbs up (meaning “I did it”) and claiming she’s “got there”.
“I did nothing but make friends all year and became so close to people I wasn’t with before, and I became friends with people I was with again,” Eilish explained. “It’s been a year filled with friendship, which honestly, even though I’ve been saying a lot of things I want to do, it’s been the thing I’ve wanted to do and I’ve really done it, and it’s been great.”
“And yes, I’ve had a lot of good sex,” she concluded before addressing her younger self directly, “So you’re welcome Billie.”

This revelation about Eilish’s private life comes shortly after she stated in another interview that she has no plans to publicly discuss her sexuality or personal relationships in the future.

“And I will never talk about my sexuality again,” she continued. “And I’ll never talk about who I’m dating again.”
Further explaining her decision, the Grammy winner said she underestimated that “the things I say will be the biggest news in the whole world.”

She also said Vogue that she’s still learning to navigate stardom and plans to be more careful with her words in the future. “We’re all babies,” she said. “We are all little children who grow up and learn on our own.”

Eilish was previously romantically linked to The Neighborhood frontman Jesse Rutherford. A source previously confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple dated for eight months before splitting in May 2023, but noted that they “remained good friends.”
Before Rutherford, the singer was linked to actor Matthew Tyler Vorce, as well as Brandon Q. Adams, for a little over a year from April 2021 to May 2022. She opened up about dating and breaking up with the rapper, who goes by the stage name 7:AMP, in her 2021 Apple TV+ documentary. Billie Eilish: The world is a little cloudy.
