Billy Bob Thornton Has Rare Red Carpet Date Night with Wife Connie Angland at Landman Premiere 

Billy Bob Thornton and Connie Angland go on a rare date.

The Sling Blade actor, 69, came to the premiere of his new series on the red carpet Landman November 12. Thornton, dressed in all black and wearing a fedora, posed alongside England, 60, as he celebrated the launch of the western drama.

At the event, Thornton told PEOPLE what he hopes audiences will take away from Taylor Sheridan’s new drama, which follows those looking to make their fortune in the world of oil rigs.

“I hope they learn something about a business that most people don’t know inside out,” he said. “But I also hope that it takes away from the way that people in the face of intensity and danger, that there’s still humor in life. And also, that it takes away from how relationships are affected by the work that you do.”

Angland is Thornton’s sixth wife and the two have been together for nearly 20 years. They met in 2003, shortly after his divorce from Angelina Jolie that same year.
