Billy Bush Tells Tara Reid She Looks ‘Too Skinny’ After She Shut Down Rumors of Having an Eating Disorder

Extra Host Billy Bush raised concerns about Tara Reid looking “too thin” – just after she shot down rumors she had an eating disorder.

Reid was involved Extra Thursday talks about his recent stint on the FOX reality TV show Special forces: the toughest test in the world when she asked Bush, who has known her for years, if she “looks[ed] otherwise.”

Bush replied, “I think you look a little too thin…”

But Reid, she’s always been that way, despite people accusing her of disordered eating. “I eat all the time,” she said.

“That’s not a problem for me. So they invent problems that don’t exist, and then one person rolls over it and then everyone rides… This goes on for years, but there are no eating disorders. I never had one.”

Reid said at the time that maybe her current look is because she’s getting older and a bit frail, adding: “It happens to older ladies.”

Bush told the actress that no one should make ugly comments about her. But he also said, “I also think that as a friend of yours, I might take a look at some muscle building program.” Reid agreed, saying they should do it next year if Special forces resumes.

Reid recently dismissed rumors of an eating disorder in an interview with Los Angeles Inquisitor. She noted: “If we were fat, then I can’t say anything because that’s bullying. But it’s the same thing if you’re thin. And it’s still bullying.”

She further clarified: “I don’t have anorexia and never have, and I definitely don’t have any bulimia.” I’m afraid of throwing up, so that’s not going to happen. And I love food too much.”

“So anyone who says I’m anorexic or bulimic is wrong,” Reid added. “Well stop it. Leave me alone. Pike me again on something else, but not on those two things. It’s not right.”

The American Pie the actress also defended herself on Instagram in 2021 to suppress negative comments under the photo she posted in a bikini.

“I’m not too thin, I have a fast metabolism,” she told her followers at the time. “Anyone with a high metabolism understands that it is impossible to gain weight. All I do is eat. To everyone who wrote something nice and stood up for me, I love you! And keep spreading that love, it’s the only thing that will save this world.”
