Billy Ray Cyrus has quite the talented family.

After marrying then-wife Tish Cyrus in 1993, the country singer adopted Tish’s two children, Brandi, 37, and Trace, 35. The couple went on to have three more children during their nearly 30-year marriage: Miley, 32, Braison, 30, and Noah, 24. Billy Ray also has a son, Christopher Cody, 32, with Kristen Luckey, whom he dated before meeting Tisha. Of his six children, most have gone on to pursue music careers—daughters Miley and Noah were both Grammy-nominated.

In April 2022, Billy Ray and Tish announced their divorce in a joint statement to PEOPLE. At that time, they emphasized the importance of the family. “After 30 years, five amazing children and a lifetime full of memories, we have decided to go our separate ways – not with sadness, but with love in our hearts,” they said. “We’ve grown up together, raised a family we can be so proud of, and now it’s time to create our own paths.”

“We will always be family and we look forward to continuing our loving experience together as friends and parents,” they added.

A few months after his divorce, Billy Ray confirmed his engagement to Australian singer Firerose in November 2022. The couple originally met on the lot where Hannah Montana was recorded and became a friend. Billy Ray proposed to the singer in August 2022.

The A busy man the singer told PEOPLE that there is “no hard work” between him and his family regarding the engagement.

“Everybody knew that relationship was over a long time ago,” he said, referring to his marriage to ex-wife Tish. – Everyone is turning the page.

Tish is now engaged to actor Dominic Purcell.

On May 26, 1987, Tish gave birth to a daughter, Brandi Cyrus, with then-husband Baxter Neal Helson. Six years later, Brandi adopted Billy Ray after marrying Tish.

Brandi started riding horses at a young age and credits Billy Ray with helping her become a horse rider. In January 2021, she told the World Equestrian Center: “I’ve been riding horses since I was 6 years old. I was very fortunate that when my dad got a record deal in the early ’90s, he took his money and bought a ton of land in Tennessee, so I grew up on a horse farm myself. Dad put me on a horse and just said, ‘Just now.’

Trace Cyrus, 35

Trace Cyrus was born on February 24, 1989 to Tish and Helson. Like his older sister, he was adopted by Billy Ray in 1993.

He played lead guitar for Metro Station, a band best known for their 2007 hit “Shake It.” Trace was also briefly engaged to actress Brenda Song — though the two split in 2012. The guitarist announced his engagement to then-girlfriend Taylor Lauren in 2018 Sanders. However, two years later, Trace shared that he and Sanders had called it quits, writing on Instagram, “Some of you may already know that I’ve recently been single and I’m extremely grateful to have my family by my side during this time.”

Trace continues to make music and even joined his younger sister, Noah, on stage during one of her shows in October 2022.

However, in August 2023, the musician said that having Cyrus may have hindered his career.

“I love my family very much, but I think I would be much more successful if I wasn’t part of a famous family,” he wrote in a Q&A on his Instagram Stories. “People immediately want to judge me and discredit all my hard work because of who I’m related to.”

“I got a record deal without anyone at my label even knowing who I was related to until they signed me,” he added, referring to Metro Station.

Christopher Cody Cyrus, 32

On April 8, 1992, Billy Ray had a son, Christopher Cody Cyrus, with ex-girlfriend Kristin Luckey.

The daughter of Billy Ray and Tish Miley Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee. She rose to fame playing Hannah Montana and Miley Stewart in the Disney Channel hit series Hannah Montana together with her father, which aired from 2006 to 2011.

Sixteen years after the show premiered, Miley tweeted in 2020: “My life changed forever when HM premiered.” She also thanked her fans, writing, “Because of your loyalty and support, I’ve had the honor of traveling the world for over a decade and performing for fans who bring so much greatness to my life.”

Besides acting in Hannah MontanaCyrus has had roles in several other projects such as Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009), The last song (2010) and LOL (2012). She also appeared as a judge in seasons 11 and 13 Vote.

He married his wife Stella McBride in November 2019 and welcomed their first child, Bear Chance, in June 2021.

Braison announced the birth of his son on Instagram, writing, “Bear Chance Cyrus was born on June 8th, 2021 at 10:05pm. He weighs 9 pounds and 22 inches of pure joy. God poured out every bit of his grace, tenderness, beauty and strength into Bear and @stellamcyrus during her Herculean feat of birthing him.”

The singer continued: “I’m so blessed that he and his mom are healthy and I couldn’t be more amazed at her strength and courage. I’m so grateful to the staff at the hospital and our friends and family for their encouragement and support. God is so good.”

Noah Cyrus, 24

Billy Ray’s youngest child, daughter Noah Cyrus, was born in Nashville on January 8, 2000. As a child, Noah appeared in several episodes of Hannah Montana with his older sister Miley and her father. “If she wants to be an actress, I think she has the skills to do it. She is [pretty] kind of natural,” Billy Ray told PEOPLE in 2007.

Now 24, Noah has pursued a music career and even received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2021. She’s been open about breaking into the industry without the help of her famous family. She reflected during an interview in 2022: “I would definitely like to say that I made my own way into the music business. I think I did it very independently in a way, like when I don’t think people really expected it, but it was something that it was very important for me to do it on my own.”

Noah collaborated with her father on the song “Noah (Stand Still)” from 2022. Following the song’s release, they opened up about the project on social media. “So proud of @noahcyrus. You wrote a great song and delivered a killer performance,” Billy Ray wrote on Instagram. “Honored to join you on this heartwarming track. Departs at midnight EST. Check it out.”

Noah responded to his post: “Honored Dad!!! so grateful to share this song I wrote about you Dad and Papa Cyrus .. you are my hero and inspiration .. love you ❤️.”

In March 2021, the duo did an interview with Spotify For the record podcast. “You were a rider, you rode horses and that was your thing. And then all of a sudden you started making music,” Billy Ray explained on the podcast. “And I say, ‘She’s serious about it!’ And you started devoting yourself to writing the best songs you could write and being the best musician you could be.”

“And I’m sitting there going, ‘That’s my Noie! That’s my Noie! Look at her! A dream is happening,'” he continued.

On January 9, 2022, Noah marked her 23rd birthday by posting a series of photos on Instagram. The photos show Noah and friends during a trip to Joshua Tree, California, including sharp shots of the singer lifting her shirt and posing on rocks.

Noah announced her engagement to fashion designer Pinkus in June 2023.

“The greatest moment of my entire life was saying yes to spending the rest of our lives together,” she wrote on Instagram. “I never thought I would ever meet a man like you or someone so selfless and filled with so much love to give. You are the least judgmental mental human being I have ever met. The most talented, loyal, kindest I have never felt more loved or in love.”
