In November 2022, an FIR was registered against Bittu Bajrangi and his associates for inciting communal tension at Hazrat Deen Shah Baba Mazar on Neelam Bata Road in Faridabad.
Threats of violence
Bittu Bajrangi received widespread attention after the Nuh communal violence in July 2023. In one of his videos, he was allegedly seen threatening Muslim extremists in front of the Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra. According to reports, Bittu Bajrangi was present at the Yatra when violence broke out on July 31, 2023. There were allegations that he seized weapons from law enforcement during the confrontation, leading to his arrest on August 15, 2023.
Previously, he was arrested by Faridabad police on August 4; however, he was released on bail the same day. The case has been registered at Nusadar police station under sections 148 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly), 332 (causing hurt), 353, 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of duty) of the Indian Penal Code , Section 395, Section 397 (Armed) Robbery), 506 (Criminal Intimidation) and the provisions of the Arms Act. Following his arrest, people also demanded the Haryana police to arrest Monu Manesar.
