Blac Chyna Has ‘Connected’ More with Fans Since Embracing Her Identity as Angela White: ‘People Love Me’ (Exclusive)

Blac Chyna, who now goes by her birth name Angela White, is open about her decision to separate her television persona from her identity.

While speaking with PEOPLE at Fox’s Season 2 premiere Special forces: the toughest test in the worldThe 35-year-old reality star has been candid about her recent decision to undergo a physical, emotional and spiritual transformation and shed her “Blac Chyna” persona.

She admitted that the public may only know her from her titles and shared her hope that fans will get to know her as her true authentic self.

“I’m human and I have feelings, I’m a work in progress and everything you see with the naked eye isn’t always true,” White said.

The Rob & Chyna The alum explained that she feels she owes authenticity to “the people who have supported me for so many years.” He no longer feels the need to maintain his “‘I don’t care'” attitude when White admits, “To be honest, I actually do.”

“Just by being open and honest and vulnerable, I’ve connected with so many other people,” she continued, adding that she’s received “emails and letters” since leaving her person.

“Angela White is going to get letters,” she said, noting that she’s never received sweet messages from fans like Chyna. “I would get Bibles, I would get all kinds of cool stuff. I said, ‘Okay.’ I say, ‘People love me.'”

Back in March, White had her facial fillers removed and documented the process — one of many plastic surgeries and beauty treatments she’s had since announcing her transition — on social media.

In that time, The real Blac Chyna star said she was “so excited” to have her facial fillers removed as she took her Instagram followers for a ride in the video.

When asked what inspired the trip, she said, “First of all, I’m tired of the look. And it’s just not flattering, it’s not how I look. It’s completely changed my face and I’m just ready to get Angela back.”

“Blac Chyna is Blac Chyna, you know what I mean?” she added. “I feel like I’ve outgrown it and it’s just time for a change. And I just want to be good.”

The “Can’t See Me” artist said makeup artists would often “contour with her fillers to make it more dramatic,” noting, “So I’d look like Jigsaw,” a reference to Saw character.

“I’m on the road right now and I just want to start over, clean,” she explained. “And to welcome girls who want to get fillers, we’re not saying, ‘Don’t do it.’ But just for me, I’m just kind of all over my face.”
