Bobby Bones Responds to Julianne Hough Saying She 'Strongly Disagreed' with His DWTS Win: 'The Greatest Champion'

Bobby Bones goes on the record and talks about the “worst dancer” accusations.

On Sunday, August 18, Julianne Hough, 36, shared a candid confession about the celebrity winner on Dancing with the stars “doesn’t agree at all” with that as she answered a viewer’s question on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

When fellow guest, country singer Mickey Guyton, responded with “Bobby Bones,” Hough paused before she replied, “I actually agree with you and I think it’s because of the fan base. It’s all about the fan base on that show . He was not the best dancer.”

In a video he shared on his Instagram on August 19, Bones reacted to the interview and noted his love for Hough, whom he “met a few times” on occasion. After praising the dancer for being “diplomatic,” he called out Guyton for appointing him.

“I was the worst dancer. I’m proud of that,” he admitted. “So I tried as hard as anyone in the history of the show, but I can’t dance now, I couldn’t dance then.”

“But you know who brought down the great empire of evil dancing? Well, it’s not evil or the empire, it’s me and you! We did it together,” Bones continued.

– I will never dance again – he said then. “I retired from dancing. Dancing was crazy because I went into it not really knowing how hard it was. Being around professionals and actually seeing them do their thing, they’re professional athletes.”

“People on the internet who loved that show were brutal to me,” he explained. “If people like dancing, you didn’t like me on that show. If people like people who work and try something new and put their heart on their sleeve and feel uncomfortable, then I think I’ve been able to connect with them. No one who was a ballroom fan ever liked me.”
