Bobby Brown’s dreams are still filled with memories of his late children.
Grammy-winning singer New Edition, 55, and wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown recently celebrated the life of his late daughter Bobbi Kristina, hosting the fourth annual Bobbi Kristina Serenity House: A Night of Inspiration, Empowerment, and Hope Gala in Los Angeles on March 4.
“It was a beautiful night, a beautiful occasion,” she tells PEOPLE exclusively of the charity event, which raises funds for domestic violence centers. “It meant everything to me to see all those faces and to see all the supporters who care about what we care about, because it’s getting tough out there for a lot of different people, and it’s just good to have support, to help try to stamp out domestic violence.”

Bobbi Kristina died aged 22 in 2015 after being found unresponsive in a bathtub at the home she shared with ex Nick Gordon – a chilling parallel to the way her mother died a few years earlier.
“My daughter was part of a domestic violence situation and it cost her her life, so we pretty much did it,” Brown says, sharing his thoughts on Bobbi Kristina’s relationship with Gordon, who died of a heroin overdose in 2020. 30 years. “She’s always in my heart. She’s always on my mind, and just helping others in her honor really helps me, it’s somewhat therapeutic.”
Brown, who also lost his son Bobby Brown, Jr. at the age of 28 due to an accidental drug overdose in 2020, says that to this day both of his deceased children continue to visit him in his dreams.
