Bradley Jay Little (born February 15, 1954) is the 33rd Governor of Idaho, taking office in January 2019. He previously served as the 42nd Lieutenant Governor of Idaho from 2009 to 2019. He is a Republican. Little served in the Idaho Senate from 2001 to 2009, chairing the majority caucus and representing legislative districts 8 and 11 (since redistricting in 2002).[1] He defeated Democratic candidate Paulette Jordan in the 2018 gubernatorial election, giving the Republican Party its sixth consecutive gubernatorial victory in Idaho.

Brad Little was born on February 15, 1954 in Emmett, Idaho, in the United States. Emmett grew up on the family ranch. In 1976, he graduated in agriculture. He attended the University of Idaho in Moscow and was a member of the Idaho Alpha chapter of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

Little replaced his father, David Little, in the Senate on a temporary basis due to illness during the 1981 and 1985 legislative sessions, serving on the Finance and Resources Committees. He has also worked with numerous private groups and companies in Idaho and the Mountain West. In May 2001, Governor Dirk Kempthorne selected him to fill the vacant state senate seat in District 8, which included the portion of Gem County surrounding and north of Emmett, as well as all of Boise, Valley and Adams counties, and southern Idaho County. After redistricting in 2001-2002, Little was elected in the fall of 2002 to District 11, which then included all of Gem County and northern Canyon County, including the villages of Middleton and Parma. After that, he was re-elected four times as a senator from the 11th legislative district. His Republican colleagues also voted him into the post of Majority Caucus Chairman in 2003, a position he held until 2009. In 2018, he announced his candidacy for governor of Idaho. During the coronavirus outbreak, Little received recognition for signing two bills in 2020 that aimed to protect the rights of transgender people.
