Bradley Cooper Cameos on Abbott Elementary After 2024 Oscars as Cast Assumes He’s in Oppenheimer: ‘Everybody Was’

One student pulled out all the stops for the show-and-tell Abbott Elementary School.

In an episode of the hit ABC comedy that airs after the 2024 Academy Awards, Khalil told his class that he “brought a famous person” he saw outside of school.

Bradley Cooper shocked the class by walking in and introducing himself, and Melissa Schemmenti (Lisa Ann Walter) could hardly contain herself. “What? You’re Bradley Cooper. Why are you here?” – she exclaimed.

“Well, whenever I’m in Philadelphia, you know the deli across the street is my first stop,” said Cooper, who is originally from Philadelphia. “My dad always told me, ‘They’re the best smugglers in town.'”

Khalil added that he knew the actor was the right choice for the show-and-tell because “everyone wanted to take a picture with him, so I figured he was famous.”

Melissa said, “You bet it is,” before texting the other teachers.

Cooper said it was no problem stopping by, explaining, “When my friend asked me to come over, I had a minute so I thought what the heck.”

Another student then pressed the Oscar nominee, asking, “If you’re famous, are you up for it Spider man?”

The actor admitted that he wasn’t in that Marvel movie, but he was Guardians of the Galaxy. However, the class was skeptical.

Cooper then mimicked his iconic character, saying: “Are you kidding me? I am the voice of Rocket Racoon.” However, Melissa knew him from another project. “And the face of Alias“, she said, and he corrected her, “Not the face.”

“Yes, you were there for me,” he added.

After the other teachers arrived, Janine Teagues (Quinta Brunson) interjected, “And he’s just not that into you.”

“Well, Janine, that was rude,” replied Barbara Howard (Sheryl Lee Ralph).

“I do not think, He is really in love with you is my favorite Bradley Cooper movie,” Janine clarified, with the actor adding, “It’s more of an ensemble piece, but if you think about it, it’s a Justin Long movie.”

“You’re crazy, Bradley,” added Gregory Eddie (Tyler James Williams) and Jacob Hill (Chris Perfetti), “I’m a Cooper Trooper from A wet hot American summer.”

Barbara tried to compliment him, saying, “I just loved you The Holdovers. It was so touching.”

Gregory corrected him: “It is Hangover and no, it’s not.” Janine finally had enough, saying, “He’s literally in a critically acclaimed movie right now” referring to Maestro.

Oppenheimer,” Melissa interjected, and Mr. Johnson added, “Is that the one about Napoleon?”

“Are you sure?” Ava Coleman (Janelle James) asked about the Oscar-winning film. “Everyone is in Oppenheimer.”

Cooper clarified once again: “I’m not in favor Oppenheimer,”, and then asked why there were cameras in the classroom.

“Okay, I have to get a hoagie,” Bradley said. “So, but this was so much fun and does Khalil get an A?”

Before he left Cooper agreed to take a group photo and Janine told him: “This is so exciting. I can’t wait to tell everyone in the district.”

The actor then asked, “You work in a school district? Oh, you know schools are criminally underfunded.”

“Yes. I’m working on it,” she replied. “Let’s just take a picture.”
