Brandon Novak, a native of Chillicothe, Ohio, began competing in bowling tournaments in 2009. According to the PBA website, he only appeared in one game that season. He had one of his best years in terms of prize money in 2016, winning $28K and it was reported that he earned $93K from 2013 to 2020 competing in some of the top bowling championships.

Brandon added in the interview that he started bowling in 2006 and, after finding success, decided to bowl five nights a week for the past five years. Novak, a former Zane Trace High School student, began bowling competitively at age 17 and won the high school state team championship with Zane Trace in 2006. Novak won the PBA Central Region Rookie of the Year in 2012.
During the conversation, Brandon noted that in his spare time he helps out a local high school shot putter when needed. He said: “I try to help out some of the younger local bowlers whenever possible. I volunteered with the Zane Trace, Unioto and Chillicothe high school teams just this year.”
