Brenda Song: Here’s the problem, it starts out as an unexpected mess, like you send someone a really vulnerable message without your knowledge, and it ends up making it easy for her. venting her anger on someone she doesn’t know. I find it amusing to be able to let your guard down, and sometimes it’s easier to let your guard down to people who don’t know who you are or what your background is. There’s a sense of freedom to it, and I think it’s really, really exciting.
Also, when arguing with people, put them next to each other [Jason] In work life, going back and texting and saying, “I just had the worst day because of this guy” and not realizing they were talking about each other, I think it’s really funny and like Callback , at least for me, when I start dating new people and get these messages, your heart will skip a beat when you get these messages from them. And then let’s say you’re arguing with the same person who gets those text messages, which I think is really funny, I really like it.
I was amazed at how confident Jason was when he told Alex he loved her as soon as he found out she was “her”. Aaron, what does this say about his personality and how does this texting relationship affect him?
Aaron O’Connell: I think his girlfriend got him into trouble and he didn’t anticipate it. He has friends at work that he can open up to, but those are still his friends. He was reluctant to actually open up completely. So when he started getting these texts it was really a way for him to open up and try to heal so he could move on and help him not focus so much on the past and really focus on what will happen in the future. and what he wants.
I think Jason is very competitive at work. We have all these jokes, all this crazy stuff happening at work. Like Brenda said, we turned around and looked for that exit and she happened to be on the other side of the exit without even knowing it. So even though I knew what was going to happen, it was interesting to watch it all unfold and just watch the jokes and relationships between strangers at the time. It was the perfect time for both roles.
Brenda, do you think Alex finally made the right decision to leave Perry and be with Jason? How does she weigh this decision?
Brenda Song: Obviously, of course. One, I think her relationship with Perry is one that she thinks she wants and needs. She is obsessed with the goals and milestones in life that she needs to achieve in order to be happy and successful. I don’t think she’s really showing her true self in this relationship because she thinks that’s what she needs to do and Perry is a great guy but he’s not the right guy for her. so he said so. To achieve it.
What I thought was interesting about the relationship with Jason was that they understood each other on a non-romantic level and without any expectations. People always say that when you start dating someone, they bring out the best in themselves. Jason and Alexa put their most vulnerable selves first, so they really have to open up to each other on a whole other level, which I don’t think Alexa has really done before – not even with her friends.
I think that’s what really makes the difference. They quickly get to know each other at this very intimate level. On the other hand, in fact, they have known each other for a long time, so their level of understanding is also different. So I think it was an easy choice when they found out that they were who they were. Sometimes, the chemistry with the person you like the least is more than you think. So I think it’s the perfect combination of madness going on. Aaron O’Connell: I think Jason feels it’s the right thing to do. I know he’s competitive, and he really loves this woman. I remember, in that presentation, looking at her personality and thinking, I really felt like Jason wanted to do nothing more than see her succeed and see her get this account and she He worked so hard to get there and he saw it. How is it like shooting a scene where your character is speaking out loud text messages? How do you create a chemistry even when you are far apart?
Aaron O’Connell: I can tell that Brenda was kind enough to stay and watch my footage and footage, and she was able to read my dialogue so we could really continue our relationship. our relationship and our relationship. We didn’t raise our voices to each other. I think it’s really just text messages, as originally written. It’s been fun trying to find that balance, but it’s also really fun because we have to play.
But at the same time we couldn’t because we also knew that no matter what we did, who would shoot first — because we were also filming during COVID, so all the actors were very isolated. — if we can’t make it for each other.
