Bride Shares Emotional Vows. Groom Only Promises to ‘Smack That A–‘ Instead, Shocking Everyone

A couple from Kentucky has gone viral after a moment from their wedding drew a lot of attention online.

Kaitlin Brooks and Cody Sheehan’s September wedding in Kentucky went viral after footage was shared by videographer Samuel Foree for CK Entertainment Services. The retailer shared a clip of Cody’s memorable vows on social media.

After his bride’s heartfelt vows, Cody looked at his officiant, then his wife-to-be, as he said, “I promise I’ll hit it– whenever I get the chance.”

The crowd laughed a bit as the official told him to continue and he said, “That’s all I’ve got.”

The room is silent as the clerk then asks, “Is that it?”

“Yeah,” Cody says, laughing as the clerk again prompts him to add a second. “Come on Cody, are you sure?”

The moment has commentators buzzing as they imagine how they would react if they were in the same situation. While some couples appreciate the humor in it all, many brides said they would be upset if their groom didn’t follow up on a funny moment or preface a funny moment with something more emotional.

“I’m sure she planned the entire wedding from the tablecloth to his damn suit and he couldn’t say a few words to express his love for her 😭😭,” wrote one commenter.

“The problem wasn’t actually a joke, the problem is that the brother didn’t have any serious vows 🤦🏾‍♂️,” added another.

“She looks so disappointed and embarrassed,” wrote a third, although some commenters noted that the bride could very well agree with her now-husband’s sense of humor.
