A 20-year-old Briton has died in a horrific fall while climbing in Spain on a route known as the ‘Monkey Bridge’.
The man was on a dangerous hike on the Caminito Del Rey, about 70 km inland from Malaga, when he tragically fell.

He was near the Puente del Mono, or Monkey Bridge, part of the climb when he fell around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The man fell unconscious while his companions alerted the emergency services, the Sur news site reported.
The Guardia Civil sent a mountain rescue team via helicopter to the scene.
But upon arrival, they found that the man had died and that paramedics could not revive him.
He climbed via ferrata, using steel devices, wires and ladders attached to the rock to climb.
Caminito Del Rey is a famous climbing route known as one of the scariest hiking trails in the world.
Boardwalks are built around steep cliffs and high-wire exercises that attract thrill seekers from around the world.
The boardwalk is five miles long and is attached to the cliff face of the hydroelectric gorge.
Caminito Del Rey was originally a solution for El Chorro power plant workers to get to work through the steep gorge.
It was built in 1905, but was renovated in 2015 and became a tourist attraction.

The climber’s death comes after a British influencer died after falling 160ft from one of Spain’s highest bridges following a social media stunt.
He was said to have climbed 40 to 50 meters up the Puente de Castilla-La Mancha Bridge without ropes or a harness when he fell.

It is believed that the deceased mountaineer was walking between the mountain shelters of Lizara and Candanchu when he tragically died.
