Fans were emotional as they watched her sing Stay Another Day alongside her GMB co-stars Laura Tobin, Alex Beresford, Charlotte Hawkins and Dr Amir Khan.

The song East 17 is dedicated to Alex’s friend Martin, who took his own life.

“You just wish you had another day in case you could have said something to make them change their minds,” he said tearfully.

Kate’s husband Derek, 56, is fighting for his life after suffering a heart attack – his latest setback since being struck by the 2020 coronavirus.
