A gunman is on the run after three teenagers, including two 14-year-olds, were shot in a quiet street.

Officers were called to a road in Orpington, south London at 10pm last night following reports of a man shot.

They found an 18-year-old with gunshot wounds before discovering two 14-year-olds had also been shot.

Police determined that the shooting happened in nearby Yalding Grove.

All three were taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, where their injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

Detective Inspector Raymond Sekalongo said: “Tackling violent crime in London remains our absolute focus and reducing shootings is key to this.

“We understand that this incident will cause concern in the community.

“We want to assure you that we are conducting swift investigations to ensure that every suspect is arrested.

“I know this can cause fear in the community.

“I will ensure that officers are present within the area to listen to all your concerns.

“Please reach out to them if you need to, they are here to support you.”
