New details come out of the settlement that Britney Spears arrived with her father Jamie Spears last year because of the legal dispute regarding her conservator.
In November 2021, the judge of the La La abolished Britney’s 13-year conservation, which he gave his father Jamie to control the personal and financial affairs of his pop star.
At the time, Bitney’s former lawyer Matthew S. Rosengart complained to pay her any legal compensation of her father. In the court documents submitted by Rosengart on January 14, 2022 – and was given by people – Jamie was accused of paying more than $ 6 million during the conservation, monitoring his daughter and committing a financial violation of the law while he was a conservator. (Jamie denied any injustice.) Singer “Work Bitch”, 43, and her father, 72, eventually solved the legal battle on April 25, 2024.
Settlement conditions were not discovered in the court subparagraphs of both sides in the Supreme Court in Los Angeles last year. Now people can exclusively confirm the details of the settlement, almost a year after they were agreed on February 24, 2024.

People learned that Britney had agreed to pay Jamie’s disobedient legal bills in the amount of $ 2.12 million: first, Saul Ewing for $ 500,000, deposited at the expense of US Bank (Hal Morris, a company’s chief advisor, signed a contract); Then, Willkie Farr & Gallagher for $ 1.62 million, transferred to his Citibank account (signed by partner Alex M. Wentbarten). She had 60 days to pay both fees in full, or she raised further costs of court and law fees, even interest after the verdict. Jamie’s previous lawyers, Vivian L. Thoreen, a Holland & Knight partner has not received further payments.
People confirm that Britney paid both legal fees in full within 60 days, as the agreement requires.
Parties that concluded the contract – including Britney and her father – agreed that the payments had resolved all disputes regarding the conservation procedure. The agreement says that neither side recognizes any recognition of facts, requirements, responsibility or injustice. All parties, through their advisor, participated in the preparation and drafting of the agreement. They took away the rights to appeal.
“It was a great result for Britney, because she also avoided the possibility that she had ever testified in court, which she did not want to do, and avoided the media circus,” says a source for people from the settlement.
MP for Britney did not immediately respond to the request of people to comment. Rosengart, Britney’s former lawyer, couldn’t turn to the comment.
“Jamie is delighted to be settled,” Wentarten, Jamie’s lawyer, told People in a People on Thursday, February 20th. “Ever ever wanted what’s best for Britney, whom he loves very much. Jamie’s work. As the conservator is ultimately avenged and the world knows how hard he worked on protecting her.”

After the settlement was finalized last year, Rosengart told the people in the statement: “Although the conservation was abolished in November 2021, her desire for freedom is now truly complete. As she wanted, her freedom now includes that she would no longer need to attend or be included in the court or involved in legal proceedings in this matter.
Recently, Britney reunited with Rosengart and shared an Instagram video of their meeting at his office on February 17th.
“It’s been too long since I saw it !!!! omg omg omg !!! it was such an amazing day !!! I was blessed and I got a book. He showed me with his suit !!! inscribed the post. “PS – I thought they were photographing, but that was on the video. Such a winner.”
Last June, Rosengart was thinking about his time working with Britney, saying to people in a statement: “I had the honor of working and protecting Britney, which is always an icon, and especially that he helped restore fundamental rights and civic freedoms that were her Take it off, which has always been our focus. ”
