Cadbury is launching a new Creme Egg bar in December that is “perfect for sharing”.

The 123g bars will cost £1.80 and it’s the first time Creme Egg will be available in bar form in the UK.

News of the launch was posted on the Snack News and Reviews Facebook group, and chocolate lovers were quick to share their thoughts on the new sweet treat.

One person said: “I like it, I would like this instead of an egg”.

Another commented: “Our new obsession is coming”.

While the third added: “You know what I will provide”.

However, not everyone was impressed with the timing of the news, with one person exclaiming: “We haven’t even seen Christmas yet.”

And another said: “It’s a bit early to talk about Easter”.

Some also noted that the chocolate giant did not launch the Creme Egg bar for the first time.

It previously launched a limited edition 180g Dairy Milk bar filled with Creme Egg fondant into the Australian market.

One person in the comments said: “I’ve been getting them for years from my mum in Australia”.

No exact launch date for the Creme Egg bar has been confirmed yet, but we’ve reached out to Cadbury and will update here when we know more.

The new bar follows the success of Creme Egg White earlier this year.

The Easter treat was first introduced in November 2022 and marked the first major innovation in a chocolate treat in over 50 years.

It features the same gooey fondant center but is encased in white chocolate.

But the white chocolate treat proved so popular that supplies sold out before Easter.

Cadbury recently upset its fans after revealing that a bar that some describe as “the best bar they’ve ever made” has been discontinued.

Meanwhile, other customers rushed to buy the world’s cheapest Cadbury Selection box.

We also tested some Caramaco dupes following the announcement that the iconic chocolate bar would be discontinued for good.

Also, if you’re shopping for a Cadbury Advent Calendar, we’ve found the cheapest ones this week and they’re just £1.35 each.
