Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heugan have revealed their reactions as Outlander draws to a close after eight seasons.

The stars appeared as guests on Tuesday’s Good Morning America to discuss the upcoming seventh season of the historical drama, which premieres June 16.

Sharing her thoughts on the series’ ending, Caitríona said: “It’s going to be a bittersweet moment. I think everything has to come to an end, but it’s going to be really hard to say goodbye to the series. this story.”

Sam has revealed a souvenir he will be bringing with him from the set of the series after the end of the eighth season. “I’ll definitely keep it, I mean I love all of Jamie’s guns, but I love his boots,” he said. “His shoes make me feel like I’m Jamie when I wear them.”
