California Pastor Allegedly Paid $40K for Hitman to Kill Daughter’s Boyfriend Who Survived

A Riverside, California father and pastor has been arrested on multiple charges for allegedly hiring a hit man to kill his daughter’s boyfriend.

On the evening of October 21, 2023, an unidentified man was shot several times, but has since recovered from his injuries. An investigation revealed that 47-year-old Samuel Pasillas planned the murder to kill the man, according to a Riverside County police news release.

“The adult male victim stated that he was driving on Grove Community Drive approaching Plainview Street when another vehicle pulled up next to him,” according to the press release. “Shots were fired from this other vehicle and he was hit several times. The victim drove himself to the hospital and was treated for his injuries, and officers found evidence of the shooting at Grove Community Drive and Plainview Street.”

Police also executed search warrants at homes in Victorville, Long Beach and Lynwood in connection with the crime.
