Call the Midwoman announced on Tuesday that season 13 will welcome two new additions to Poplar, and while most fans couldn’t be more excited about the good news, others on social media have questioned similar.
The show’s official Instagram announced the news, telling fans that new faces Joyce Highland and Rosalind Clifford, played by Renee Bailey and Natalie Quarry, will be joining Nonnatus House, which is starting a scheme. New training for midwives.

“Joyce Highland is from Trinidad and intends to be the curator of a British hospital,” read the headline along with a photo of the recruits. “Hardworking, intelligent and insightful, she has a traumatic past that can’t be hidden forever.

In the comments section, fans expressed their excitement for the upcoming new episodes. One wrote: “Welcome Renee and Natalie! Looking forward to seeing you as the new midwives on my favorite show!” while another added: “Omg Can’t wait for this new series to start.”

However, other viewers couldn’t help but express their concern for Zephryn Taitta’s character Cyril Robinson, with many wondering what will happen to him when his wife is Lucille. [Leonie Elliott]no longer in Topola.

One fan wrote in the comments: “Ok, I just hope Cyril goes to Jamaica and be with Lucille. When he comes back without her it’s meaningless. And even if they were religious Regardless of religion, divorce or separation makes no sense.” I don’t like his friendly face, but I would be happy if he left England for his lovely Lucille.”

Another fan commented: “So what’s going on with Cyril? Is he stuck in limbo? Will his story with Lucille end or will he disappear?” while a third asks, “Is Lucille coming back? What’s going on with her? Another nurse from the Caribbean makes one suspect that Lucille won’t come back.”
Lucille left England for Jamaica to recover from a nervous breakdown following a catastrophic miscarriage.

In the upcoming 13th season, set in 1969, fans can expect stories from the Sylheti and Nigerian communities and from the docks. The program will cover issues related to topics such as cerebral palsy, congenital hip dysplasia, tetanus, porphyria, and tuberculosis.
