CAMERON Diaz and her husband Benji Madden have announced the birth of their second child, a baby boy.
Diaz and Benji shared the happy news in an Instagram post Friday night, revealing their son’s name.

“We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden,” Benji wrote in a joint post on his and Diaz’s Instagram.
“He’s great and we’re all so happy he’s here!
“For the safety and privacy of the kids we won’t be posting any pictures – but he’s really cute,” the beaming dad continued.
The warm message was published alongside a colorful drawing on top of which was written “A bird whispered to me”.
“We feel so blessed and grateful. Sending lots of love from our family to yours. Best wishes and have a great day!!” Benji concluded.
GRANDMA, BROTHER
Diaz, 51, and Madden, 45, already have plenty of parenting experience thanks to their four-year-old daughter, Raddix.
She was born on January 3, 2020 through surrogacy, and was welcomed into the family by posting on social networks just like her younger brother.
“Happy New Year from Maddens!” the couple wrote then.
“We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden.
“She immediately captured our hearts and completed our family.”

Diaz and Benji fell in love after their sister-in-law Nicole Richie met them at dinner.
Richie is married to Benji’s twin brother Joel Madden and they have two children.
“It was one of those things where everybody tells you, ‘You just know when you know,'” Diaz said.
“He walked in the door, and I said ‘you!’ Then I saw him again and I thought, ‘Wait a minute, he’s still hot!'” she said.
She got engaged to Madden in December 2014.
Diaz and Madden tied the knot at their home in Beverly Hills, California on January 5, 2015.
FAMILY PLANNING
Diaz has announced that she plans to step away from acting in 2022 to focus more on her family despite being one of the highest paid women in the industry.
“I’ve given more than half my life to the public. I feel like it’s okay to take time for myself now,” Cameron told InStyle during a break from acting in 2020.
A source told RadarOnline that the former actress has turned down “dozens” of roles over the past few years.
“It is no exaggeration to say that she could have saved up to $100 million or even more if she had worked instead of resting and planning her family’s future,” the insider said.
Madden is still a member of the rock group Good Charlotte, but has spent less and less time making music in recent years as his family has grown.

A viral Instagram post announcing the arrival of Cardinal Madden to the family received more than 30,000 likes in the first hour it was shared.
“Congratulations! Adorable post, love the pic,” wrote one fan.
“Delighted for you! Congratulations and enjoy your sweet addition to your family!” another fan posted.
Some fans also praised the couple’s unique choice of names for their children.
“Cool name. Cardinal and Sparrow!” one fan wrote mentioning Richie and Joel Madden’s son (and Cardinal’s cousin) named Sparrow.
They also saw love from Joel and other celebrities like Pete Wentz, who shared three sparkly emojis on the post.
