Camila Cabello is not against stopping sex.
In the latest episode call her dad released Wednesday, the “Bam Bam” singer revealed her thoughts on getting back in the sack after her split.
“I feel like if you want to have sex after a breakup, you’re probably going to hit it off next week,” said Cabello, 27. “There’s still something there.”
She added: “And like I said, I’m sorry, I’m all for it. I don’t believe in forbidden fruit – if you want it, go for it. Kind of like a ‘date him until you hate him’ vibe. don’t really hate anyone, but I say do it until it’s out of your system.”
Cabello went on to explain that her friends don’t get along with her – but revealed that it was “helpful for me”.

“I also think the hardest part is that sometimes you lose time that way,” added the “Havana” singer. “You’re still having fun with something and maybe there’s someone out there who’s better.”
Ultimately, Cabello is in favor of breakup sex as long as the person is doing “inner work” and wonders what the motive behind it is.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Cabello — who is currently single — opened up about her brief reconciliation with Shawn Mendes following their November 2021 breakup.
When podcast host Alexandra Cooper asked her thoughts on reuniting with her ex, Cabello said she’s a fan.
“Personally, I think it’s useful. You can’t ban me from doing things because I’ll want to do it more,” she said. “If I want to send him a message, I will.”

“You have to know that it won’t work and then you have to get over it and you have to say: ‘I did it. And I know,'” she added.
At the reconciliation, Cabello said the same thoughts were going through her head.
“I’m kind of impulsive in that way, I would say. I feel like if I feel it I say it and I’m not very good at not doing it. Because then the worst place to live is in my mind and then I’m like Ryan Gosling Notebook build a house for this person. I’d rather say it and see what happens, then wake up the next morning and find out it’s been heavily documented,” she said.

“It is what it is. It was a great route, it was a fun time, it was a fun moment,” she continued. “I will always care for him and love him.”
She also revealed that what caused them to break up the second time was that they realized it wasn’t “agreement” on both sides.
Cabello and Mendes split for the first time in November 2021 after two years of dating. But in April 2023, they were spotted kissing at Coachella, and a source told PEOPLE at the time that they “always seemed to have a special connection” and had “been friends for months.”
Although the pair have been seen out and about together multiple times in New York and Los Angeles sharing PDA — including at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in New Jersey in late May — reports surfaced in early June that they had broken up again.
