Captain Tom’s daughter takes £2.25m controversial spa home off the market after failing to flog it in ‘discreet sale’

CAPTAIN’S KITCHEN Toma has withdrawn her controversial country house from the market after failing to find a buyer for 10 months.

The seven-bedroom property in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire, is on the market from April 2024 with a staggering £2.25 million.

But even after shamelessly using Captain Tom’s name in advertising material, Hannah Ingram-Moore and her husband Colin failed to flog him.

The property is listed as “no longer available” on estate agent Fine and Country’s website – with the firm confirming to The Sun that it is “no longer appointed as agents”.

Hannah and Colin have put the Grade II listed house, which sits on 3.5 acres, on the market just months after losing their appeal to keep the spa complex in their garden.

Bedfordshire County Council ordered them to demolish it after it was built in her father’s name, with the couple claiming it would be used in part by the Captain Tom Foundation “and its charitable causes”.

The property was removed from major websites such as Zoopla and Rightmove back in October – after the family opted for a “more private discreet listing”.

Fine and Country told the Mirror at the time that the family did not want the property to be advertised any further.

It appeared to have been removed from the property portal, although it was said that it was still for sale and that interested buyers should contact them directly.

It is now completely withdrawn from the market.

The 18th century property has a separate “coach house”, with gym and office, four bathrooms and is in a conservation area.

The original estate listing showed the family was still shamelessly cashing in on the beloved Tom, using his memory to push the sale.

The Tom statue could be seen in its entirety in the main hallway in the agent’s photos.

How Captain Tom’s daughter kept £1.5m of bookkeeping cash and gave NOTHING to his charity, report reveals

A statement from the owner read: “A particularly special memory of our time here is my father walking 100 laps of the garden to raise a record £40 million for NHS charities during the pandemic.”

Details in the brochure add: “The property is owned by the family of Captain Sir Tom Moore who spent his final years there raising money for the NHS during the Covid pandemic.”

The sale comes after growing anger from neighbors over the smearing of the family name.

Hannah and husband Colin are already disqualified as trustees of the charity.

Tom inspired the nation by raising £39 million with a sponsored walk in the estate’s garden.

But the Ingram-Moores faced a humiliating charity investigation into payments to the charity Captain Tom they ran with donations.

They were strongly condemned by the Charity Commission in November in a report, which found “repeated instances of misconduct and/or mismanagement”.

The damning report found they were responsible for a “pattern of behaviour” whereby they repeatedly benefited personally from their involvement with the charity.

Hannah previously spoke about the ordeal in a bombshell interview with TalkTV’s Piers Morgan and admitted she pocketed money from the veteran NHS fundraiser’s £39m fundraiser.

She revealed they kept £800,000 from three books written by her father – claiming he wanted them to keep the profits.

Their consultancy Maytrix Group also took up to £100,000 in leave money and £47,500 in Covid loans despite making big profits during the pandemic.

Other controversies include her £18,000 payout to attend the Captain Tom Awards – and the mere £2,000 she donated to his charity.

The veteran’s daughter was also paid a hefty sum to attend the 2021 Virgin Media O2 Captain Tom Foundation Connector Awards.

The Sun has contacted Ingram-Moores for comment.
