Could Cardi B’s Sophomore Album Be Coming Sooner Than We Think?

On Saturday, August 17, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper, 31, shared some important news about her highly anticipated sophomore album. According to the hip-hop star, the album cover was recorded.

After a fan shared a gif on X (formerly known as Twitter) of a person standing on the edge of a helicopter holding a bag with the caption: “I’m on my way to France to see if I can find the Cardi Hermes bag she wants 😆 @iamcardib I got you sis ” Cardi quoted the post on Twitter, writing, “If you find me a bag, I’ll post my album cover.”

A fan caught on to what the “WAP” artist actually revealed about her upcoming album, tweeting, “So the album cover is up, that’s what I’m hearing,” along with a picture of Zendaya holding her hand over her ear on Euphoria premiere on the red carpet.

“Album covers are busy… I just don’t know which ones to pick,” Cardi replied in the quoted tweet to the user.

The hip-hop star has taken some heat in recent months over his long-delayed sophomore album, which he addressed.

In July, Cardi discussed comments about her upcoming album The Joe Budden Podcast via X (formerly Twitter) Spaces.

When the topic of her sophomore album came up during the episode, host Joe Budden, 43, said: “We’re never getting another Cardi album. I stand by that.”

In response to the criticism, the “I Like It” hitmaker said in a clip shared on X where she said: “I don’t care when people talk s— about me. The fact is that you always talk to— about me, Joe Budden. Out of nowhere, you’d think I’d done something to this p—-… For the past two years, that p—- has kept saying nothing but bad things about me.”
