Carla Hall embraces aging with grace and humor.
As the host of Max Chasing Flavor59, awaiting her 60th birthday in May, says there are things she will – and won’t – do to feel good about herself.
At the top of her to-do list: Botox. “I won’t do it,” declares Hall. The star is not against injections, she tells PEOPLE, she just leans toward a “light” lifestyle.
“I don’t judge people who do it. I have friends who do Botox. I’m not good with maintenance, and what if one day I can’t afford it?”

But rest assured, she is not worried about the consequences. “Child, my face will be down there with my knees. My face will fall faster than my breasts. [But] Not. I don’t do that.”
“I’m getting older and realizing what my skin needs at this age,” says Hall.
“I don’t want to look like I’m 40. I don’t care that I have a wrinkle. I don’t care that when I smile, you might see some crow’s feet, or you might see something between my eyebrows, laugh lines. Because my laugh lines mean to laugh. My dimple is getting deeper as I get older, and that doesn’t bother me.”

As for what to do, Hall says a skin care routine is essential. “I have a really good girlfriend, Lorrie King, and she created Caire Beauty [pronounced “care”] because her mother was undergoing chemotherapy and her skin was very dry. It helps the skin in menopause. I said, ‘Girl, I’m in,'” says Hall.
Although Botox may be banned, she will invest time and money in a facial. “I’ve been getting them since I was twenty-four. It’s the only thing I’ll spend money on.” Between meetings, Hall will disguise himself at home.

“One of the things I realized was that I had to take care of my skin because the makeup was going on it. So before I do a big job, I put on a mask. Because again, I just don’t want all the makeup and everything going on my skin. ”
All in all, Hall accepts her age and her body for what they are. “I have knobby knees. If you hit me in the elbow, it will hurt. I have big feet, I have big eyes. There are certain features that I have accepted and certain [ones] that I like it. I like my one dimple, my niece has the other, so we have a pair together.”
