Carol said in her video: “I’ve just got home from what you can imagine was a busy day and I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m overwhelmed by your support, it’s just amazing.

“You know we’re all in this together and we’re absolutely going to make it right. Because you’re bloody amazing. You are.”

She captioned the video: “A video from last night when I got home. I’m so overwhelmed by your support. Thank you all.”

It comes after she dramatically quit over the BBC’s new social media rules – which she said would silence her on social media.

Carol presented a two hour and 30 minute show on BBC Radio Wales every Saturday morning.

She landed the gig – which was her first radio program – back in 2019 after previously guesting as a host.

The star cited the Beeb’s new guidelines for presenters on social networks as the reason for leaving the programme.

Carol also admitted breaking the rules and said her bosses told her she “had to go”.

In a statement, Vorders said: “After five years, I am leaving my Saturday morning show on BBC Radio Wales.

“The BBC recently introduced new guidelines for social media which I respect.

“However, despite my show being light-hearted and without political content, it was explained to me that the new guidelines will apply to all content I post throughout the year, as it is a weekly show on my behalf.

“As these non-negotiable changes to my radio contract were made, I ultimately realized that I am not ready to lose my voice on social media, change who I am, or lose the ability to express the strong beliefs I hold in the political turmoil that this the country finds.

“My decision has been to continue to criticize the current British government for what it has done to the country I love – and I’m not ready to stop. I was brought up to fight for what I believe in, and I will wear that on.

“As a result, I have now breached the new guidelines and the management of BBC Wales have decided that I must leave. Each of us must make our own decision.

“I am sad to leave the wonderful friends I have made at Radio Wales. I wish them and all our listeners all the love in the world.

“We had a lot of laughs and will miss each other very much. But for now, another interesting chapter begins.”

A BBC spokesperson said: “Carol has been a presenter on BBC Radio Wales since 2018.

“We would like to thank her for her work and contributions to the station over the past five years.”

Carol was recently forced to withdraw claims of cronyism against Tory chairman Greg Hands.
