Cast of Hit Musical SIX Welcomes Harmony’s Leading Men to Broadway: ‘Thank You Queens!’ (Exclusive)

HarmonyBroadway’s leading men received a warm — and royal — welcome.

On Monday, the cast of the Tony Awards SIX they invited their new neighbors on West 47th Street, six harmonica players from a new musical Harmonyto their stage at the Lena Horne Theater to celebrate their arrival.

The cast of the hit musical about the six wives of Henry VIII — Hailee Kaleem Wright (Catherine of Aragon), Zoe Jensen (Katherine Howard), Taylor Iman Jones (Catherine Parr) and replacements Marilyn Caserta, Aubrey Matalon and Holli’ Conway — not only welcomed newcomers from Broadway, he has already given them a commemorative goodie bag.

Dressed in their glittering costumes, SIX The cast presented the harmonists, who began their performances on October 18 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, with Union Jack bags and Britain’s favorite drink: gin.

“So everybody, welcome to 47th Street and Broadway,” Wright told the group. “We have just a small token of our appreciation for you with our Hayman’s London Royal Gin.”

She added, “So invite us to Barrymore, okay?”

The Harmony the sextet — Sean Bell (Bobby), Danny Kornfeld (The Young Rabbi), Zal Owen (Harry), Eric Peters (Erich), Blake Roman (Chopin) and Steven Telsey (Lesh) — did not come empty-handed to their own theater-warming party – handled.

“And from Harmonywe are so grateful and happy to be across from you on 47th Street,” said Owen SIX honor. “Since we’re a Jewish-themed show, we have the traditional rugelach — a delicious treat.”

After taking a few photos together as a group of twelve, the Harmonists then returned to their theater, gin in hand.

“Thank you SIX”, Owen said as the group left the cinema. “Thank you queen!”

Harmony opened earlier this month after a sold-out, highly decorated presentation in the city center.

The musical, set in 1920s Germany, follows the true story of the Comedian Harmonists, “six extremely talented young men form a singing group that becomes an international sensation,” according to the official synopsis. “They sell millions of records, star in big movies and play in the biggest theaters around the world. Until 1935, no one heard about them again.”

Along with the harmonists, the play also stars Sierra Boggess (Mary), Julie Benko (Ruth) and Chip Zien (Rabbi).

Directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, the original musical features original music by Barry Manilow, with lyrics and book by Bruce Sussman.

IN SIXofficially opening on Broadway in October 2021, “Henry VIII’s wives take the microphone to remix five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a euphoric celebration of 21st-century girl power,” according to the official synopsis.
