Katherine made her acting debut as Shilpa in the Kannada crime thriller Shankar IPS (2010), starring alongside Duniya Vijay and Ragini Dwivedi.

Catherine faced a lot of criticism on social media after her brother committed suicide. He was reportedly suffering from depression at the time of his death. There were accusations that she was estranged from her family and did not provide financial support to her and her family. Her friends have come out to support her, saying they are very close to each other. According to them, she also sponsored her brother’s education at a private college in Bengaluru.
