CBSE warns against unofficial practices

CBSE Board Exams 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to conduct the class 10th and 12th board exams from February 15, 2024. Before that, the board has already uploaded new CBSE pattern papers for all major subjects on to its official website. Amidst this, CBSE has issued a public warning against the websites of some private publishers offering to download CBSE board examination papers for class 10 and 12.

According to media reports, the board stated, “The board has noticed that schools and students are being asked to access CBSE practice papers from the sites of certain private publishers. The public is advised not to be misled by any claims or promotions.”

CBSE rejects partnership with Educart for 10th and 12th pattern papers

The management also clarified that it did not cooperate with Educart in any way. “Additional practice papers have been developed for students of grades 10 and 12 to facilitate them in solving questions based on the application of higher-order thinking skills and enhance their conceptual understanding of the topics,” it added.

CBSE Mock Papers 2024 Released

Board spokesperson Rama Sharma informed the media that the sample questions, which are freely available on the CBSE website, have been developed to help students tackle application-based questions that require higher level thinking skills and to enhance their conceptual understanding of the topics.

The board has also released sample questions and marking scheme for the subject to help students prepare for the 2024 board exams. Students can download CBSE supplementary practice questions from CBSE Academic website: cbseacademic.nic.in.

CBSE as per NEP 2020

In line with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), the board has introduced competency-based education and assessment in all its affiliated schools. CBSE has announced that it has recently released practice papers for class 10th and 12th in all major subjects, with an aim to help students improve their preparation for the upcoming examinations.
