Barbie just got a cool girly look.
Mattel has tapped celebrity stylist Maeve Reilly to present a trendy version of the iconic doll inspired by her signature street style style. Reilly, whose clients have included Hailey Bieber, Megan Fox and Eva Longoria, tells PEOPLE that the partnership is “the greatest honor.”
“Barbie is an icon and it was a huge honor and moment for my inner child,” she says. “Just genuinely nostalgic.”
Like many others, Reilly grew up playing with Barbies and even had her own “weird Barbie” (made famous by Kate McKinnon’s role in 2023). Barbie).
“I was definitely experimenting and doing things and trying different outfits,” the stylist recalls. “As a young child, I think Barbie is an amazing opportunity to develop your creativity and come up with different combinations.”

Reilly’s Barbie serves as a snapshot of current fashion trends, many of which stem from the stylist’s looks for her celebrity clients. The doll’s white tube top, wide-leg jeans and oversized leather jacket are reminiscent of the cool-girl aesthetic perpetuated by stars like Bieber and Fox.
“I came up with different mood boards, and we went back and forth with what we thought it should look like,” Reilly says of the year-long design process with Mattel. “I really wanted to capture this moment…I also wanted it to be something that I would wear, that my clients would wear. I’m sure I’ve probably styled this exact look on clients before.”
