Chad Henne was able to transfer to the Wilson School District before the start of third grade in 1994. He also appeared in 43 school games for the Bulldogs over four seasons. And the third academic year was his most productive, individually and as a team. As a senior in 2003, he was named to the Pennsylvania All-State Football Team, was selected to compete in the 47th Annual Big 33 Football Classic in July 2004, was named the 2003-2004 Pennsylvania Football Gatorade Player of the Year, and received the National recognition as a member of the 2003–2004 Parade High School All-American Football Team.

Similarly, he was inducted into the Wilson High School Athletic Hall of Fame and was a three-year member of the Wilson varsity basketball team as well as an outstanding athlete on the Bulldogs’ track and field team. Henne’s freshman season was also an outstanding success. And, before his first game as a senior, he announced his intention to attend the University of Michigan as a Wolverine.

Career

Chad was selected in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. On July 26, he was able to sign a four-year, $3.5 million contract with the team. And he was able to make his NFL debut in the second game of the 2008 season. He then spent the rest of the season on the bench, appearing in just two more games. Similarly, he was able to make his first career start against the Buffalo Bills at home on October 4, 2009.

Furthermore, his rookie season in 2011 started well, with 416 yards and a career-best 93.6 passer rating. On March 14, 2012, he signed a two-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
